Let's get nude...

Oh, I love nudity...that is in art. I have added a few nude study's I that have done.. Amazingly when I looked I found that I have so many! One of the most interesting and helpful things an artist can do is to work with a live model. I know for me a live model gives me the best chance of catching something interesting. There is nothing more valuable than seeing the lines, shadows, and light shifts on the human body. The contours and changes even when someone just takes a breathe is so astounding as it pertains to creations. The human body really is a beautiful thing for many reasons...

The surreal life...or so it seems

I absolutely love realism mixed with imagination. Sometimes I love to play around with whats in my brain and just draw without any reference. I don't think I have to explain which of these was done strictly from my imagination and what had reference material. The biggest thing to remember always is if using only your imagination always keep a consistent light source. These are images of different mediums which I love. I always remember that sometimes it's a good release to just let go and draw what feel...

The passage to our soul...

Since I was a child, portraits have always been my favorite of all compositions. I have always been fascinated with the eyes and I actually have always started each portrait by first drawing the subjects eyes and branching out from there. I love the darkness and light that lies in the same person's gaze. Oh, and I'm sure all of us have at one point or another looked into someone's eyes and seen nothing but darkness even though a smile was plastered on that same person's face. For that reason I truly believe they are the passage to our soul.

I somehow misplaced my pants again...Oil painting 08'

Oil painting is my new passion... I am still working on it so I hope to get better and better. For now I practice and practice when I can. What I love about the medium is you can go back and tweak it long after you've walked away from it. As we all know everything can always be made better even especially when you lose your pants...Figuratively of course...Nudes again...
